About
I was programmed since day one to be a "maker." Christmas presents were a learning experience — I remember Erector sets, programmable tank robots, and Tamiya remote control trucks. I got my first computer, an Apple II+, when I was in fifth grade. I learned Pascal, BASIC, and 6502 assembly language.
Then high school happened, then the Internet happened. I got a degree in electrical engineering, but was more interested in shooting model airplanes on greenscreens. I wanted to work at ILM, but got a job in tech.
Today I'm primarily interested in photography, videography, 360 photography, and virtual reality. I still shoot film and print photos in the darkroom, I build everything, I like analog synths, I want to create art.
What I Work On
Stereoscopic rigs, 360 capture, and real-time pipelines in UE4, A-Frame, and WebXR.
Laser cutting, 3D printing, LED control systems, and from-scratch electronics builds.
Blender, Unreal Engine, photogrammetry, and greenscreen/VFX compositing.
Film and digital photography, darkroom printing, and cinematography.
